Axialis Icon and License Terms

Important: Axialis IconGenerator is a free application. Icon usage rights come from each icon set license, not from the app itself.

1. Free Application, Mixed Icon Licenses

• IconGenerator App: free to install and use.
• Icon Sets: some are free, some require a commercial license, and some include attribution requirements.
• Always check the selected icon set license before distribution in applications, websites, or documentation.

2. Icon Set License Types

Axialis icon sets can include different license models. The current website and in-app license information identify which model applies to each set.

• Commercial License: per-user license for unrestricted project usage under Axialis terms.
• Free License with Attribution (CC BY-ND 4.0): free usage with mandatory credit and no distribution of modified icons.
• Open Source / Other terms: follow the exact terms shown for the specific set.

3. Commercial License Summary (Axialis)

Based on the Axialis stock-icons license page:

• License type: user-based. Each person using licensed icons in projects requires a license.
• You may: use icons royalty-free in unlimited projects, modify icons, and deliver projects to clients.
• You may not: redistribute icon collections standalone, sublicense/transfer icons, use icons in logos/trademarks, or use them in BSD open-source projects.

4. Free License with Attribution Summary (CC BY-ND 4.0)

Based on the Axialis stock-icons license page:

• Free usage is allowed in projects, including commercial usage, under the license conditions.
• Attribution is required: "Icons courtesy of Axialis Software" with a link to https://www.axialis.com.
• If you remix or transform icons, you may not distribute the modified icons under this license model.

5. How to Verify and Activate Licenses in IconGenerator

• Open Licenses -> License Information... to inspect terms for the current icon set.
• Use Licenses -> Synchronize Licenses after sign-in to activate purchased sets.
• Use Licenses -> Activate License (Enter Key)... when key-based activation is required.
• Use import/export/deactivate commands for transfer and backup workflows.
